Raster Images

Raster images (for example jpegs, tiffs, etc.) are
composed of pixels which when increased in size
become blurry and pixelated as the illustration on
the right demonstrates. In order to produce a
high quality image at large size it is important
to use the largest possible original file. A
good rule of thumb is, the larger the file size
of the image provided, the better the
final product will look.
